Eating out in the Sonora area and finding local restaurants, its about having a variety of choices that offer everything from quick bites to true quality restaurant and dining experiences. The Motherlode region has recently stepped up it’s food offerings, and as of 2018 there are some of the best options we have seen in years.  As hard as it is to consistently offer good food, it is just as hard to offer good advise to everyone looking to eat. Below the restaurants mentioned were chosen on a number of factors including personal preferences and real time social media feedback among other factors. From January to December, Sonora hosts events every year including a spring festival, an annual Celtic Faire, Rodeo and Roundup Parade and a Christmas Parade. Murphy’s, Twain Harte, Groveland and Angels Camp also host events so there is always something exciting happening in the Motherlode. March Sonora Celtic Faire is a multi day festival held every March at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds with music food and entertainment.
