Torrey Pines Joshua Tree Death Valley California has a lot to offer in the way of hiking, outdoor recreation and natural beauty, but the hiking trails in the Sonora region are some of the most beautiful trails in the Sierra’s.   The trails in Torrey Pines State Reserve make for good day hikes. Although very close to the ocean, they are located about 300 feet up on a bluff overlooking the north end of La Jolla. This is one of the only places in the world where the Torrey Pine grows, thus the name. There are three loop trails known by the names Parry Grove Trail, Guy Fleming Trail and Broken Hill Trail.
